Family Picture

Christmas 2008

Aiden and Alyson LOVED their chairs and stuffed animals!

All Aiden asked for was a motorcycle and monster trucks.
This is his Spiderman motorcycle!

Alyson got her baby doll. She is so sweet with it.

We always open gamed on Christmas Eve then play them.

Alyson got to open one, too!

Snow Day

This is the view from our house while it was snowing.
As crazy as it sounds, when the snow let up a little, we decided to do a little last minute shopping. We got halfway to the main road into Eagle Mountain when we slid off the road. We were so stuck that the Sheriff had to put a chain on his truck and pull us out. To say the least.. we took the hint, went home and played in the snow instead! ;)
That's Aiden walking out there..

Alyson walking by Papa's car!

We didn't have "real" snow mittens, so we put socks on her hands, then plastic baggies over those..

Aiden making a snow angel on the sidewalk. The snow on the grass was too deep for him.. Silly kid!

Aiden liked EATING the snow!

Today was Aiden's preschool Christmas Program. It was basically 10 min of the kids singing, then Santa came to talk to each one of them. Aiden was very hesitant at first, but when I told him Santa would give him a candy cane.. he decided it was worth it.

Aiden is really enjoying preschool, and is really learning a lot. He is so smart!

The story of my foot

Ok, so here is one of the craziest things that has happened this year...

At the the end of September I was going down stairs (a little too fast) when I accidentally skipped the last few steps and landed on the inner part of my left foot. When I did this it pushed my bones over slightly to the left, messing up the ligaments. The doctor called it a Lisfranc injury. Anyway.. I ended up having surgery a week later. They ended up putting 3 screws on the right side and 2 pins in on the left side to hold it all in place. It was wrapped up for 2 weeks, then I had a cast put on it for another 4 weeks (all the time not being able to put any weight on it), which made doing anything VERY difficult! Luckily I have great friends and family that helped me out while I was healing. Finally I got a walking boot, which I am still using until the beginning of next year. In January I can start wearing an athletic shoe with a good arch support, then in the middle of January they are expected to take out all my "hardware"..

This has been quite the experience.. I don't think I would have been able to handle it without my incredible parents, my #2 Mom Gayle, Lesley and the kids, Barbara and Summer (my favorite neighbors)... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I love you!

Joining The Crowd

Well.. we finally joined the "blogging" group! Everyone kept telling me I need to start a "blog"... so, I did! Now leave me alone! ;)

I just got a root canal today, so needless to say I am not going to write much at this time, but soon.. soon I will have a lot on here to see!
